NARI Lobbying Efforts and Ongoing Bill Updates
ENERGY STAR / ENERGY EFFICIENCY TAX CREDITS
Advocate for a continuation of the Energy Efficiency Tax Credits, specifically energy star products and building envelope improvements. Unfortunately the past approvals for these were retroactively applied and did not influence buying decisions. There is currently a tax extender bill before congress.
IMMIGRATION
Continue to educate our members on how changes in Federal immigration laws might affect our industry and access to skilled labor. There are several considerations currently before congress.
OSHA
RRP, Silica Rule, and OSHA job site safety compliance and implementation. Working to educate our membership on updates and changes and continue to advocate for an even playing field.
